Lodge of Hospitality & Concord No.8645 The Lodge of Hospitality and Concord No 8645 is one of the seven Craft lodges which meet at Branksome Masonic Hall. We were founded in 1975 by a number of Licensed Victuallers, who were unable to locate another lodge that met at a time convenient to their particular business hours. Thus, in the earliest days, the Lodge met in the early afternoon, in order that those members who so wished still had time to return to their businesses before the close of the evening session, after the Lodge meeting; but we now usually meet at 6:00 pm. Our meetings are held 8 times a year on the 4th Tuesday of the months September through to April, (but 2nd Wednesday in December). However, a new member should also allow additional time to attend a less formal Class of Instruction, held once per month. And, as he develops in Masonry, he may be attracted by one of the several other Orders available, each of which has its own interesting history and symbolism, and, for which he must also allow an additional amount of time and commitment. The background of our members is no longer strictly limited to those in the licensed trade, recently, we have welcomed members from more diverse walks of life, including, amongst others, the armed forces, commercial diving, printing, and engineering. In brief, we like to think of ourselves as being a traditional but fun lodge with progressive tendencies.
