St Aldhelm's Chapter No.2559 St Aldhelm’s Royal Arch Chapter No. 2559 is the eldest and the longest thriving of two Royal Arch Chapters that meet within the Branksome Masonic Hall, situated in Ashley Road, at Branksome, a little northwest of Alder Road Junction, Poole. We meet in the evening, four times a year on the third Monday of the months of March, May, September, and November. St Aldhelm's Chapter has been thriving now for just a little short of 100 years (Centenary 2020). We are completely user friendly, forward looking, and we embrace every modern technological means that may bring us as near as we can get to real time Communication, so that our Companions can be kept up to date and “in the know” about everything that is going on in Royal Arch generally. The Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch is the only ‘additional’ or ‘side’ order endorsed by the United Grand Lodge of England and is affectionately known among Masons in its abbreviated form - quite simply - “Chapter”. Chapter is the one vehicle that travels the route every Master Mason ought essentially to follow, if he is at all sincere about completing his journey of self-discovery through Masonic education; especially and particularly via the practice of ritual. Each of our ceremonies of Exaltation is, in essence, an acting out of the making of a complete Mason. All Craft Masons are eligible for Exaltation into Royal Arch Masonry 28 days after raising to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in the Craft, and we in St Aldhelm’s are especially keen to recruit and retain Master Masons and joining Members not only from Dorset Craft Lodges, but also from Lodges and Royal Arch Chapters in other Provinces, so that many more Master Masons than we have enrolled with us currently, may complete their journey through Pure and Ancient Freemasonry. We are therefore, forever ready to welcome new members. If you would like further information on becoming a St Aldhelm’s Chapter member; if you would like to symbolically regain the secrets of a Master Mason; or you simply seek more fraternal Companionship, why not drop an e mail to ra2559@dorsetfreemasonry.info and include in your email a contact ‘phone number and your e mail address. A Companion from St Aldhelm’s Chapter will soon come back to you via one medium or the other.
